Cochrane Alliance Church is part of a larger family of churches across Canada called the Christian and Missionary Alliance. This is an evangelical denomination that emphasizes the need for a genuine personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Spirit-filled life and reaching out to a hurting world.

Cochrane Alliance Church, Cochrane – Origin:
The first service of Cochrane Alliance Church, Cochrane was held on February 4, 1979. A classroom at Cochrane High School was rented for that inaugural gathering, and soon after moved into the gymnasium.

For the people who helped get the church off the ground in those early years, the dream was to plant a church which would share the message of Jesus Christ in Cochrane as well build a faith community based on the life and priorities of Jesus Christ.
